What Do You Mean I Have To Comprehend Dao As A Mortal God?

Chapter 157: A Spar And...

Chapter 157: A Spar And...

Well... We had time now so obviously Olivia requested for the chance to spar right now.

"So what’s this place called?" I asked, looking around the hall that we had used for the first test.

"We have yet to settle on a name for it... But we were thinking of calling it the Danger Ro--"

"Rejected, change it," I interrupted her.

She paused, "Might I know the reason?"

"Copyright infringement," I told her vaguely.

She didn’t question is and nodded, "I will tell them to come up with another name for it."

I looked around the room, "Feels a bit small, don’t you think? Even the first test with the mech... It took up half the room just by itself."

Olivia made a face, "Unfortunately, the space that we can use in the tower is limited. We do intend to make a bigger one in the future so this would probably be used specifically for the Guardians and trusted personnel."

I looked around the room and thought about it for a moment.

Hmmm... There’s space here. Maybe I can...

I waved my hand in the air, prompting the words for ’space’, ’expansion’, ’contraction’, ’regeneration’ and ’control’ to appear in the air.

I then frowned as the materials I was lacking to create this formation appeared in my mind.

I took out my phone and started typing out a message, "I’ll send you a list of things I need to create an array here. If I have those, I can make the space bigger."

She nodded, "I will forward it to the Bunarfs."

I hit the send button before nodding at her, "Now... I suppose this space is still enough for our spar. Shall we?"

She tugged off her suit jacket and folded it neatly before placing it aside where she dumped the rest of her stuff.

I then watched her step out of her high heels before she turned back to face me, dropping down to a combat stance.

I could feel the aura around her intensify, signalling to me that she was definitely taking this seriously.

I already knew how strong she was so I would probably have to at least take this fight a little seriously.

Of course, I probably would not need to resort to using my other skills for this since it’s just a spar to satisfy her battle cravings.

I lowered myself into my own combat stance as well, clenching both of my fists and focusing my senses on the Oni in front of her.

Somehow, it felt like the world around us had stopped and we had been sucked into our own dimension.

Olivia ended up being the first to initiate the fight as she kicked off the ground, her figure flying straight towards me with her fists raised.

Seeing that she did not materialise her lightning, I guess she was also holding back somewhat as well.

Also... While she was fast, I could keep up with her but whether I could withstand her strength is another question.

For now, I lifted up my arms right as her fist flew towards me, striking me in the middle of my guard.

It felt like a truck had hit me and I slid back a few feet.

I managed to stop myself by digging in my back heel and steadied myself, expecting Olivia to press on her advantage.

But instead of coming after me, she stayed where she was and simply watched my reaction.

I’m guessing she was checking if the strength she used was suitable for our spar.

I grinned at her, "You can use more strength, Olivia. Dan has shared his power with me in the form of damage negation."

Her eyes seemed to shine at that as she immediately jumped towards me without warning, punching out her fist once again and aiming at my chest.

Instead of just defending myself against it, I pulled back my fist and punched out at the same time, striking my fist against hers in a contest of strength.

I would say that I’ve used about ninety percent of my strength here and that was the right call as both of us were evenly matched in that punch, though I have a feeling Olivia was using less strength than I was.

When she saw that we were at an impasse, her lips curled up into a rather manic grin before she pulled back and started letting loose a flurry of blows at me.

Despite that, she had kept her strength at the same level so I was able to match her blow for blow, either blocking, parrying or deflecting her punches away from me.

I also sent a few blows towards her in return but she was also able to stop me from reaching her as she simply matched my punches with her own to stop me in my tracks.

I thought this exchange would just continue until one side gives out but Olivia disengaged from me first, the red Oni leaping back and cocking back her right fist behind her.

She then let out a yell and punched it forward despite not being in range of me.

I immediately leaned my body to the side, just barely evading the air cannon that her fist had launched out using the air pressure of her punch.

The wall behind me shook from the impact and I’m sure if I had just stood there, I would have been blasted away by it.

But she’s not the only one that can do that.

My position already placed one of my hands behind me so I immediately clenched it and swung my body to punch into the air, feeling the air around me push back against me before I managed to overpower it and send a cone of air blasting forward towards the red Oni.

She crossed her arms in front of her, tanking the blast as it exploded against her and sent her skidding back a few feet.

Without wasting a second, I leapt after her, intending to press on my advantage while she was still recovering.

She looked up just in time to see me thrusting out my palm towards her, striking her in the abdomen.

I was expecting to send the red Oni flying back with that strike but she merely hunched her body over from the impact and did not move a single step back.

That was when I realised she had flexed her entire body to enhance her defense to be able to withstand the palm strike which left me open for a counter attack.

She opted to try and grapple me instead by hugging her arms together to lock me in a bear hug.

There was only one problem with her plan...

I ducked my head and her arms sailed right above me, her taller height doing her no favours in this as I slipped out from under her.

Unperturned, she changed her stance to charge at me with a shoulder tackle which ended up with her ramming into me and sending me skidding back, creating distance between us and giving her time to recover into her combat stance.

She reengaged again with a spinning kick which I was forced to avoid by taking a step back before I had to block a right jab from her immediately afterwards.

Dan’s skill prevented me from getting hurt but I’m pretty sure I would be bruising if it wasn’t for his ability.

She attempted a left hook as a follow up but I saw it coming so I ducked under it before countering with another palm strike towards her.

This time, she wasn’t able to react in time so my palm strike was effective in sending her skidding back.

I was going to follow up with an elbow strike to her chest which should secure my victory, only for her to let out a roar that shook the entire room and caused me to stumble in my steps.

When I managed to get my footing again, I found Olivia lunging towards me and I had no time to put up a guard at all.

As I was preparing myself to be hit, I found myself being pushed down and I was not looking up at the ceiling.

Eh? Wait... Why is there a weight on top of me?

Olivia came into my view and she was giving me the unmistakable bedroom eyes look.

"Olivia?"

"My Lord... I need you... It feels hot down there... I need you inside me..."

"E... Eh? Wait... Where did that come from?"

"I can’t hold back anymore, my Lord! For my people, a spar like this is like a dance between couples as a mating dance... I... I can’t hold myself back now!"

She grabbed my wrists and pinned them above my head before diving down to kiss me on the lips, her tongue already shoving past my lips to wrap around mine in a deep kiss.

Well... I guess we still have time so we could go a round or two...
