Chapter 210 210: Reuniting with My Disciple, Nagato
Chapter 210 210: Reuniting with My Disciple, Nagato
"Relax, I'm not some dangerous person. I know Nagato," Hyuga Arin explained calmly.
"Oh, I see." The boy nodded—then suddenly roared, "Like I'd believe that!!!"
Anyone could claim they knew Leader Nagato. He might be young, but he wasn't stupid.
"Well… I suppose there's no other way to prove it," Arin muttered, rubbing his chin.
Behind the disguise of his Transformation Technique, his sharp gaze locked onto the boy.
"But you don't exactly have the option to refuse."
The boy's eyes grew unfocused.
"Who… are you?"
Demonic Illusion: Unconscious Technique.
Arin erased the boy's memory of himself.
"I'm Yahiko. Take me to see Nagato."
He smiled gently, using genjutsu to fabricate Yahiko's appearance.
The boy blinked in realization. The mysterious figure before him now looked like Yahiko.
"Captain Yahiko… why do you look kind of strange?"
Demonic Illusion: Five Senses Manipulation.
Of course he looked strange.
Arin had never actually seen Yahiko in person—only memories from a previous life.
"For… various reasons," Arin replied vaguely.
The Unconscious Technique continued operating, constantly erasing any anomalies the boy noticed.
The boy stood up naturally. "Even Captain Yahiko gets lost? I'll take you to Leader Nagato."
Arin smiled faintly. "Those routes are complicated. Hard to remember."
All suspicions faded as quickly as they formed.
They left the ruined city and moved through the forest until a hidden village came into view.
The moment they entered—
They were surrounded.
"Who are you?!"
"Takumi! Why did you bring an outsider here?!"
Takumi looked confused. "What are you talking about? This is Captain Yahiko!"
"Me?" A red-haired boy stepped forward in confusion.
The real Yahiko.
"…He grew up," Arin muttered awkwardly.
The Yahiko he created in Takumi's perception was clearly older than the real one.
Takumi stared at both of them in bewilderment.
"Two Captain Yahikos…"
They didn't even look that similar.
Why did he think both were Yahiko?
Arin dispelled the genjutsu. Takumi snapped awake and immediately retreated to his group.
"Who are you?" Yahiko demanded.
Arin ignored him and instead scanned the group.
"Where's Nagato? Not even going to greet your teacher?"
At that moment, a tall red-haired youth pushed through the crowd.
His long bangs covered his eyes.
"I don't recall having a teacher like you," Nagato said quietly.
"Are you sure?" Arin removed his straw hat.
The face of Kisaragi Muyu was revealed.
Nagato did not rush forward in excitement.
"I don't know how you learned about my relationship with Teacher Muyu," he said calmly, "but trying to use Transformation to deceive us won't work."
Arin scratched his cheek awkwardly.
So he'd already awakened the Rinnegan.
The Rinnegan could perceive chakra directly.
His Transformation Technique was normally extremely difficult to see through—but apparently not to those eyes.
"How am I supposed to prove I'm me…" Arin muttered.
"I remember you brought me food. That's why I taught you ninjutsu. And the first time you saw me—I was grinding rogue ninjas."
Nagato hesitated.
Those details had never been shared with outsiders.
Even the word "grinding"—that strange habit of speech—was exactly like his teacher.
"Ahh, so you're Nagato's teacher?" Yahiko laughed, throwing an arm around Nagato's shoulder. "Then that makes you our teacher too, right?"
"And it's not like we've got anything worth spying on."
Not necessarily.
Arin's eyes flickered.
If there was anything worth spying on—
It was Nagato's Rinnegan.
They had no idea how important those eyes were to the shinobi world.
If not for White Zetsu's constant surveillance, someone would have already tried to seize them.
Speaking of which—
Arin's gaze briefly swept the ground.
Under the Transformation, his nearly maxed-out Byakugan activated silently.
Deep underground—
White Zetsu.
He deactivated it almost immediately to avoid alerting them.
Though honestly, the moment he appeared here—
White Zetsu, Black Zetsu, and probably Uchiha Madara already knew.
They just couldn't figure out what he was planning by approaching Nagato.
They probably didn't realize he'd already noticed them.
Probably.
Arin still remembered the time he came closest to death—
White Zetsu had played a role.
His little notebook kept records.
No one who offended him would escape.
No one.
"Alright, alright, disperse," Yahiko waved the others away.
Once they were alone, Nagato hesitated before asking,
"Teacher… why are you here? And have you always been using Transformation?"
He had once heard rumors.
That Muyu was a Konoha spy.
"Muyu… Konoha…"
The similarity was suspicious.
A coincidence, but still.
"Yes," Arin nodded easily. "I've always used Transformation. I came to check on your training."
In truth?
He came to annoy Uchiha Madara.
Even as a clone—
He was identical to the original.
Nagato looked uncertain. "I think… I've improved."
Arin suddenly reached up and brushed aside Nagato's bangs.
The Rinnegan was fully revealed.
"The Sage of Six Paths' eyes. The Rinnegan."
Nagato and Yahiko stiffened—but relaxed slightly when Arin lowered his hand.
They both understood how special those eyes were.
Without them, their children's organization would never have grown this far.
"Teacher… you know about these eyes?"
Nagato touched his face.
"A little," Arin nodded.
He had no intention of revealing the truth.
If he did—
He might immediately trigger a world-class boss spawn.
Uchiha Madara.
And he wasn't ready for that fight.
"There are three legendary eyes in the shinobi world," Arin continued. "Byakugan. Sharingan. Rinnegan."
"You possess the Rinnegan—the eye that had never appeared until now."
He lightly brushed his own eyes.
His pale pupils were revealed.
"This is the Byakugan."
In Nagato's vision, there was no chakra covering them.
This was his teacher's true identity.
"…So you have one too," Nagato said quietly.
He visibly relaxed.
